It’s that time of year again. Cars are adorned with flags, our social media feeds are full of ‘us vs them’ memes, and there is seemingly nothing else on the radio or tv. It’s AFL Grand Final time.
In these weeks and days before the ‘Big Game’, there are a few of us who hide in the shadows. We Victorians who quietly admit to each other “I just don’t care about football.” Those of us who don’t really understand why Friday is a public holiday just want one thing: to escape the crowds during this baffling Long Weekend.
We’re offering you a solution! Escape to The Bellarine!
With Port Phillip Ferries (or Searoad Ferries if you’re on the ‘other’ Peninsula’) it has never been easier to escape the crowds. Why not take a leisurely journey across the bay, and experience everything the Bellarine has to offer?
Obviously, your first stop should be The Q Train. We have three services over the Grand Final Long Weekend:
Friday 27th September: 1245am – 345pm Departing from and returning to Drysdale Station. (BOOK NOW)
Saturday 28th September: 1245am – 345pm Departing from and returning to Queenscliff Station. (BOOK NOW)
Sunday 29th September: 1245am – 345pm Departing from and returning to Drysdale Station. (BOOK NOW)

Now, after your one-of-a-kind dining experience on The Q Train you could catch the ferry straight back home again… But why would you? With amazing accommodation and the best wineries, breweries, markets, restaurants, cafes and beaches in Victoria, we think a long weekend in the Bellarine is the PERFECT escape for your inner anti-footballer.
